Kleines Restaurant mit gutem Essen. Leider war bei unserem Besuch der Service sehr langsam. Nachdem wir nach dem Hauptgang ca. 25 Minuten vor unseren leeren Tellern gesessen haben, wollten wir dann auch kein Dessert mehr. Hat den Gesamteindruck getrübt.
What a wonderful restaurant! The food and the service were both fantastic. I had probably the best ravioli of my life. The pastry was so delicate. We were a group of five and all enjoyed our meals and the ambiance of the restaurant. The desserts amazing. We highly recommend this restaurant.
Charming restaurant that should be on your list of “must go” places to eat while in Paris. Chef Hugo Wolfer is in his prime. Privileged to watch him practice his craft with skill and seemingly effortless concentration that hides an obviously deep love of his profession. Superbly impressive results. Tomato/asparagus mousse, cucumber salad, fois gras, steak with shallot/wine reduction and sauteed fish all were 10/10. This is a small restaurant (literally just a few tables). So romantic. Do not miss your opportunity to visit and please reserve your spot now.
On every visit to Paris I always make it a point to go for another great meal at La Cordonnerie. Tonight was no exception! It was so great seeing Hugo working his magic in the tiny kitchen! Might I add that he’s a one-man show, and I don’t know how he manages to do it all while remaining so calm and cordial! In fact, due to a malfunctioning navigation system, we called to say we were running about a half hour late and he told us, ‘no problem. We’ll hold the table as long as you need’!
As busy as he is, he even took the time to step away from the kitchen to show me the cooking process for one of his special sauces. He knew I was a foodie when I requested one of the tables within a few feet of his work station.
Our server, Deborah was equally as efficient and pleasant.
Overall, another unforgettable dining experience at our favorite restaurant in Paris!
